This 115m2 chalet is currently divided into two separate self-contained apartments, on a good sized plot with two large garages and parking for up to 4 vehicles. Brilliantly located close to the resort ameneties of Meribel Les Allues and only 10 minutes walk to the gondola!
Less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of the traditional, picturesque village of Meribel Les Allues and only 800m to the Olympe Telecabine which gives access to the centre of Meribel and the Three Valleys ski area. It is possible to ski back to Les Allues until March but the free resort shuttle bus, which takes about 10 minutes to reach Meribel centre, stops about 500m from the door. The chalet was originally an old grange and was renovated in 1987 into two apartments. Both apartments have been well looked after and could be a fantastic investment for someone looking for their own ski-pad with the option of renting out the second apartment for the season, as the current owner does each winter! The first apartment is a one bedroom duplex of 64m2. On entry to the apartment there is a good sized hall-way with spacious built-in storage cupboards and a small laundry/utility room with space for washing machine and some storage. There is a stair-case leading up to the bedroom. Off the hall-way is a shower room with washbasin and WC. Walking through to the bright dining and living area there is a large corner fireplace giving the sitting room a warm, comfortable and cosy feel. The dining area looks out on to the terrace through a full-size patio door and has views of the Saulire mountain. On the other side of the dining room is an arch-way through to the separate fitted and tiled kitchen. The terrace is south facing and has full sun throughout the day, there is plenty of space for loungers, table and chairs – perfect for summer barbecues and parties! The en-suite double bedroom is upstairs and has its own terrace which has lovely views towards the Bozel valley. Inside the bedroom the eaves have been converted into wardrobes and storage with roll-out clothes rails making excellent use of the space. The en-suite bathroom has a full size bath tub, wash basin and WC. The second apartment of 51m2 situated at road level has 2 bedrooms. All of the rooms are off the entrance hall. The first bedroom is a well decorated large double with wood panelling, painted walls and tiled floor. The 2nd bedroom is slightly smaller and is currently a twin with built in wardrobe. There is a bathroom with full size bath and wash basin, a second shower room with walk in shower, wash basin and WC. There is also a separate WC. The small boiler/storage room has built in shelves and room to store your ski equipment. Following the hall-way through to a separate equipped tiled kitchen and finally through to the living room which has a door through to a small garden and terraced area. The apartment is easily rented out each winter season for an excellent fee. Meribel Les Allues is the original village of Meribel and is a relaxing and calm village great for families which has a very Savoyard charming feel to it. There are restaurants, bars, supermarket, newsagents, ski-hire shop and a post office and the resort is served by the Olympe telecabine which takes you directly into the Chaudanne area of Meribel. The main area of Meribel is only 10 minutes drive away where you find access to the rest of the Three Valleys – the world’s larges ski area! The lift system is modern, fast and efficient. The pistes are superbly maintained and with ski-runs to suit every standard of skier both young and old it is a fantastic place to ski winter after winter. Meribel has a lively resort centre with countless restaurants, bars and shops. There are plenty of leisure activities both in the summer and winter – the Olympic Centre has a 25m swimming pool, climbing wall, ten-pin bowling, wellbeing centre, gymnasium and ice-skating rink. You will also be able to find outdoors activities such as dog sledding, snowshoeing and skidoo rides in the winter or golf, tennis, white water rafting and mountain biking during the summer.
