This south facing house is located in a popular village in the Belleville valley and has amazing views up to Cime de Carron, part of the Val Thorens ski area at 3200m. This is essentially a large family home but there is potential to make the ground floor into a separate apartment for rental if required.
At the moment the ground floor has three bedrooms, a bathroom and separate WC. Moving up to the first floor there is a lounge/diner and good sized separate kitchen. The dining area leads out on to a large sunny terrace on the south west side of the house which offers a truly wonderful view. Also on this floor is a second large bathroom. On the top floor is a mezzanine which leads out to the back of the house where there is a garden with trees. In the summer there is room for a small pool which they like to leave up for the season. The mezzanine is used as a cosy lounge and TV area of which there are two further bedrooms. Located on a quiet no-through road this is a very calm and tranquil spot. The village has a very friendly atmosphere and the locals are all very welcoming. The village has a Salle de Fete, village hall, which is used for dances and small concerts and the odd exercise class (if you feel you need them after a day’s skiing or walking!). There is also a small cinema. Village life is active, interesting and inclusive if you want it to be. Further up the valley you’ll find the ski resort of St Martin de Belleville at 1450m which links into the rest of the Three Valleys ski area which includes the world famous resorts of Courchevel and Meribel. St Martin is a quieter resort than its glitzy neighbours but definitely not the poor relation – with two Michelin starred restaurants in this valley and plenty of quality eateries and access to the same state of the art ski facilities. Also in the Belleville valley you’ll find Les Menuires and Val Thorens. Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe with on-piste skiing up to 3200m; this is a huge bonus as the season last from mid November to mid May and is a real treat in the quiet season. Outside of the skiing are plenty of other activities both summer and winter with walking, snow shoeing, mountain biking, sun bathing, paraponting, wine tasting – you can even drive round to either the Meribel or Courchevel valley for a game of golf in the summer. This is a beautiful place and owning a property here gives you access to many adventures whether that be in the bar and restaurants or in the mountains.
