Philip Shaw, Independent Agent, says:

AS SEEN ON TV... and the georgeous Amanda Lamb from " A place in the sun" stayed here whilst filiming on location for the programme.

Just 7km from the historic town of Cognac, lies this beautifully restored 15th Century riverside watermill set in total tranquility amongst rolling vineyards. Having been lovingly and carefully renovated with an eye to detail, this once flour and nut mill, offers wonderfully appointed accommodation with attached exclusive gites that provide excellent family accommodation or business venture.

The principal house offers 3 bedroom facilities with access to an adjoining apartment with balcony terrace overlooking the river. From here, stairs take you down to the lower floor area of the mill where the original grinding stones can be found.
Attached to the property, but with their own private separate entrances are 3 exclusive gites. One gite offers disabled facilities with all ground floor accommodation and shower room / wet room.

The approach to the property is by a private single tree lined track up to the main parking area where this imposing property just leaves you jaw dropped! There is 11 acres of private grounds with landscaped gardens, additional outbuildings and a 12 x 6m swimming pool with shower block and changing rooms.
A truly wonderful property!
In Greater detail the accommodation comprises;
La Maison principal;

La Maison Principale is the jewel in the crown at Le Moulin de Chazotte. This part of the property is used by the vendors whereby they move into the attached apartment should clients wish to rent the house.
It is the biggest of all four of the gites and has a wealth of exceptional features which make it a dwelling of an unusually high standard.. The house was built in the 1750s and has been totally renovated to incorporate the latest technology as well as retaining traditional Charentais architecture. The staircase, for example, was custom-made by local craftsmen with a lovely curved design which has been the authentic Charentais-style for centuries.
